We come together for worship each Sunday at 10:00am. St. John’s celebrates Holy Communion each week and we welcome all people to the Lord’s table, including children. All are welcome to join us for worship.

We’re located at 4629 Aspen Hill Rd, Rockville, MD 20853.

 

Audio/Visual
In worship you will find the service and music is projected on the wall as well as printed in the bulletin. Large format bulletins and hearing assistance devices are also available for use each week.

Children & Worship
St. John’s encourages families to worship together. Each week, Pastor Kern provides a children’s sermon as well as invites children of all ages to participate in communion. Quiet activity bags are available for children. We also provide a quieting room and staffed nursery (with changing table and family-friendly restroom) are available for families to use as desired. Both of these rooms have speakers that allow you to continue listening to the service.

Communion
All are welcome to receive Communion including children, toddlers and older. We offer the traditional bread and wine, as well as a grape juice option. Gluten-free bread is also available.

Christmas Eve Services
Each year we hold two Christmas Eve services on December 24.  A children and family service is held at 4:00pm designed to last less than one hour.  The second service is a traditional Christmas Eve service, and is held at 8:00pm. It is preceded at 7:30pm with a variety of musical selections from St. John’s musical groups. All people, including children and families, are encouraged to join us at either service for worship on Christmas Eve.

Inclement Weather Policy
For the safety of our members, St. John’s closes whenever Montgomery County Public Schools close for inclement weather. If schools are closed, so is the church. If after school activities are canceled, so are afternoon and evening activities at the church.
